Bought this for the kitchen, so it gets a lot of use. Unfortunately, the lid is fairly flimsy and makes quite a noise when operated by the foot pedal. For the price, I was expecting something more substantial. However, similar cans at big box stores are still twice this price (but may also be smoother), so I'm going to try to live with this one. It is very attractive.

This has been a great purchase! We have enjoyed the sleek appearance and ability to throw items away without touching other garbage. The opening mechanism is a little loud, otherwise we love it. It was a lot to pay for a garbage can, but because of BrylanHome, we paid less than half what I have seen it at other places.

I have had mine for almost a year now. My main gripe is that because of all the little nooks built in the can, it is impossible to remove the bags without tearing them. The rim piece that holds the bag in place broke shortly after I got it. I love the look and that it saves space, but it should be smoother inside so bags can be easily removed.

I really like the Slim Jim Step Can except the retaining ring (liner to can connection) and the step to open lid connections are not sturdy enough. Perhaps the retaining ring needs to be a little bigger (or heavy material like metal) and the connection to the lid from the pedal the same.

nice, sleek design and a space-saver, but a little flimsy. It moves whenever you put trash in, but otherwise it's not bad

the lid bangs shut every time you open it with the foot pedal which is loud and annoying. So we have to lift the lid by hand if we want to avoid that. the can also scoots backward a few inches every time the foot pedal is used so have to move it back into place every time it is used. the can is a good size adn narrow to fit a samll space.
