This product looks good and serves the purpose well for shoes and boots in my entranceway/kitchen area. I left out 2 slats to make bigger spaces for boots. I DO NOT recommend gluing if assembling by self. The bottom snapped off as I flipped it over -slight damage. Better for 2 people to put it together. Looks good and tidies the space.

      I realy like my new shoe cabinet, it allows me to see all my choices at once in an orderly manner, and I use the drawer to hold all my belts, also the decorative shelf hold a beautiful plant. My shoe cabinet has given me a little more order to my life. The only kick back is the space for the shoes are very small I wear a size 10 woman, any thing bigger can forget it. Thanks.

        Since I have SO many shoes, thought this would be great for my heels.

        While it is super easy to assemble, if you have heels that are higher than 3 1/2inches--forget it--you can only store 1 shoe per cubby. Also I didn't realize that the 2 inner rows of cubbies are smaller than the outside ones!

        So, now I have this system, that is virtually empty and I'm still using my original shoe spinner system..Frustrating

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

              I love this shoe cabinet, it was just what I needed to finish my closet remodel. I read the reviews before I purchased it and they were right on. Placing the shoes in opposite directions works well. I live in Florida and wear sandals often, they fit perfectly in the cubbies. I had help putting it together and we added wood glue to the back panels for reinforcement.
