I used the buffet server the day after it arrived. It worked great, and I used it as a hot plate, without the whole "collar" and 2 of the included pans. I put 4 pans of food on it, my pyrex dishes on it, right next to the included pans. Was a little disappointed that you can't bake in the pans, and the metal is a little flimsy, but that also makes it lighter and easier to store. Overall, a good value. Takes a while to get the protective shrink wrap off of everything but I understand why it's necessary. [...] I just packed that pad with it when I put it away for next time.

I really like how big the compartments are but the only thing I didn't like was how hard it was to peel the plastic protective covering that was on the stainless pieces. I was glad the covering was there just to hard to take off.

Bought this and had donated it to the VFW for New Years Eve. Figured it would be a lot better using this than sterno - this way we didn't have to worry about anybody enebriated banging into the table and setting the tableclothes on fire. It worked like a charm. One of the best parts about it - it heats up quickly. Glad I purchased it!

This is a wonderful addition to entertaining crowds or just large family gatherings! Don't plan to open it and use it within 5 minutes. It is sealed with a VERY secure plastic wrap that must be peeled off before using. That's when you need to really be alert to sharp metal edges. Once that process is complete, this is an great accessory for serving crowds or large groups.
