      It works but it does not fit into the bottom of what is called a 10 in. cast iron skillet. This means that the bacon does not get pressed as I would like it to.

              I have been looking for the perfect cast iron grill press for a long time. I finally found it! Not only is this grill press is the perfect weight and size for every meal, it is the most reasonably priced that I have found. It allows perfect browning on the entire surface of your meat instead of just the sides or middle. It is the perfect tool for searing steaks before grilling them. I wish I had found it a long time ago!

                Having arthristis,it has become painful to use my hands putting pressure on meats while they're cooking.I had a small press but it didn't cover all I was cooking. This one does. It fits in the skillets & also in the deep pans.The price was a lot cheaper than in the Cookware Stores I've seen them in. I would recommend this!
