Comments about Plus+Size Living BrylaneHome Extra Wide Woman's Office Chair:

I spent over 18 months using a lawn/patio bistro chair and was in pain every single night after a 12 hour shift doing tech support from home. I saved up over that time to purchase this chair, and scored when I found it on sale! Assembly can be a bit difficult, despite the easy instructions. That's only because its a very heavy chair and to hold two of the main pieces at just the right angle during assembly by yourself is next to impossible. My suggestion: place the seat upside down on a table or your desk or your bed or sofa, etc and then hold the back while you attach it securely.

This chair is a Godsend and a lifesaver. I fall asleep in it, lean back, prop my feet on my desk for a short nap during my lunch break. I am a very big gal (closing in on 300 pounds) and this is bar none the most supportive and comforting chair I have owned, ever. Its a no-brainer. Buy it.

Comments about Plus+Size Living BrylaneHome Extra Wide Woman's Office Chair:

I really wanted to like this chair. I bought it because of all the good reviews so I had high hopes when it arrived. This chair was supposedly designed with a woman in mind but it is so tall that it is really uncomfortable to sit in. I'm 5'7" and even when I adjusted the chair into the lowest setting it was too high for me. I'm about 235 pounds and when I sit all the way back in the chair the backs of my legs ache. The cushions are way too soft and offer no little support, especially for any kind of lumbar support. I was really disappointed in this chair and even though I paid quite a bit for it, I find it actually more comfortable to sit on a plain wooden chair than this office chair. After only having this chair for about a week the shine on the thin vinyl (it's not leather)lost its sheen. Also, if you have a pet, make sure you keep them away from this chair because the vinyl is very thin and rips VERY easy

Comments about Plus+Size Living BrylaneHome Extra Wide Woman's Office Chair:

I work from home and am on the computer 12-14 hours a day, at least 5 days a week, sometimes more. I need a chair that will hold up to someone less than 300 lbs, but not skinny, either. This chair works in some ways, but not others. I am relatively short - 5'1" - and the chair works for me height-wise, but the non-adjustable arms are a real problem for me. Because the chair is wider than most, the arms are too far apart for me to use while working on the computer, and because the arms are fixed in one position and can't be adjusted, they are too high for me - if I rest my arms on the arms of the chair, my shoulders and arms start aching almost immediately because of the awkward position it places them in. My shoulders end up hunched up and my arms are too far away from my body, so they start hurting right away. For shorter people, I also recommend a footrest - if you use anything higher than the lowest height setting on the chair, your feet will dangle like a little kid's, causing pressure on your legs.

I'm a little disappointed, but I can't fault the company on this one - it's hard to buy a chair without trying it out in person, especially if you are less than average height. I took a chance on this one and I think I probably shouldn't have. I still love the chair for its cushioning and comfort - but I've had to make serious adjustments to my desk arrangment to find a somewhat comfortable working position, and I'm not at all sure it will work long-term.

This chair is very nice. It sits higher off the floor than I thought from the measurements that it would. I have to use a small stool under my desk for my feet. I am 5'4". But the chair exceeds all my other expectations. I would buy again. Beautiful in the brown leather looks nice with my dark walnut furniture.

Comfortable chair, doesn't squeeze your sides. Looks high-end, color is nice. Has a slight recline when you push on the back of the chair, with your back. Easy enough to assemble, husband did that part. Only minus is that even in the lowest position, it won't slide under my standard height desk, but I can still get my legs under the desk, so not a problem for me.

This is the fourth chair I have bought over the past 6 or so years from BH. This is by far the best one yet. I expect this one will last a long time. It is very attractive, comfortable and sturdy. It was easy to put together, unlike the others. I would buy this in a heartbeat again.

Comments about Plus+Size Living BrylaneHome Extra Wide Woman's Office Chair:

While this chair is most definitely comfortable and sturdy, I find that is does not help with leg circulation at all and is by far the worst chair for that. I bought it for that purpose but I have to use compression stockings while sitting in this chair for long periods of time.

I used it about 12 hours a day to sew and after about two hours, I could already feel the tightness in my calves and the swelling beginning. I have had to stop using it for this purpose and have to limit my time sitting in it. I have tried several different height settings thinking that may have been the cause but to no avail, it didn't help. Getting up to walk every 20 minutes or so also did not help.

As I stated before, it is a very comfortable chair and I still use it, just not for its original purpose and I limit the amount of time I use it for. If you are looking for a chair to help with leg circulation. this is not the chair for you.

Comments about Plus+Size Living BrylaneHome Extra Wide Woman's Office Chair:

This chair is much nicer than I thought it would be. It feels sturdy, not wobbly, and it doesn't lean to one side.

I am a woman and I was able to put this chair together this afternoon all by myself.

I wasn't quite sure how to attach the wheels because the instructions just show a downward arrow on where they go. I didn't know if they somehow screwed in or what. I found a short video on YouTube with someone giving a demo on how the wheels attach and then it was a cinch. It's much easier to attach them if you lay the legs component upside down on a hard surface (I used the floor). You just have to push hard and they pop right in.

When the instructions say that you shouldn't tighten the bolts completely until the arms are assembled, they mean it. You need a little 'give' so the armrests move smoothly over the bolt hole in the chair. Then you can go back and tighten everything.

The only con that I can think of is that the chair is really tall, even at the lowest setting. I'm 5' 9" and if I didn't have a keyboard tray that tilted, I don't think I would be able to get my legs under the desk.

Overall, it's a really nice looking chair, loads of room, very sturdy and very comfortable, especially for the back of your legs.
