I've purchased several items through BrylaneHomes and never been disappointed. However, this chair has changed that. The photo and description of this chair lead you to believe that it's very plush and cushy, it's not.
It's made for us "big" people, but the padding in the cushions are, at best, one inch thick. In some places might not even be that thick.
It is extra wide, and it does appear to be heavy duty. Only time will really tell about the heavy-duty part. The most critical part of an office type chair for the +size person is the post that the seat attaches too, and then attaches too the wheelbase. In almost every chair I've ever had, including the heavy duty ones, the post wears out within a year or two. And I "only" weigh about 300 pounds. Not a super heavy weight.
For the sale price I'll keep it and see how it does.

This chair arrived within days of ordering and was easy to assemble. It appears very sturdy. I bought this chair for my 22 yo son who is almost 6ft tall and weighs about 300 lbs. He works on his pc many hours a day so I wanted him to have a comfortable chair. This one fits the bill so far, swivels very smoothly and there are no problems so far. He is very pleased with it. I would have given 5 stars, but we have only had the chair a week, so time will tell if it will earn that 5th star. I bought it mainly because of the Brylane name and reasonable price. I own a Brylane leather recliner that is at least 8 years old and is very comfortable without any problems. I am expecting the same workmanship in this chair.

I CAN NOT FIND A CUSHION LARGE ENOUGH TO FIT THIS SEAT. THE ONE I HAVE IS TOO SHORT (FRONT TO BACK) I HAVE TROUBLE GETTING ONTO THE CHAIR AND AN EVEN WORSE TIME WITH ADDED CUSHIONING. THE CHAIR HAS TO BE UP AGAINST SOMETHING WHILE I HOLD ONTO THE CUSHION. I AM 5'3" AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE THIS MUCH TROUBLE SITTING DOWN. THEY ALWAYS MAKE THINGS TALLER OR LONGER WHEN THEY MAKE THEM LARGER. I GUESS THEY THINK FAT PEOPLE HAVE LONGER ARMS AND LEGS. WE NEVER STOP GROWING. WHEN WE STOP GROWING UP WE START GROWING OUT LOL.

This chair is at my computer desk where it works well. It is a little big for me; however, the men in my family are large so it's a chair that works for everyone. And the quality for the price is well worth it. It is easy to wipe off all the grandchildren's finger prints.
