when you just need to shred your address (so you aren't associated with that radical group or subscription to that skin magazine), one slice will take care of the address label (actually, I make 3 or 4 vertical cuts and then one across to make very fine confetti). does the job I bought it for.

These things are a great alternative to big shredder. They really work -- although its easiest to do a page or two at a time... not thicker. They do a good job and are easily stashed where one needs to use them.

The sole purchase of this product is to shred address labels, names and personal information on envelopes or documents. It is also good to cut labels that are adhered to thin plastic. Plastic is not recommended to be used in shredding machines as it will bind and jamb the cutters. This scissor is not designed as a left or right hand cutter. Therefore, long period of cutting action can become uncomfortable for some users. Otherwise, periodic cutting is good. I only had this product for about 3 weeks and it is sharp but for how long I cannot say for sure. But I hope it does.

I use this product for shredding personal information on bank statements and credit card statements. It's great to use if you don't have a shredder machine and it's small and stores easily with little space used. It's not great for cutting thick layers of paper, only 2-3 thin sheets at a time.

I use the five bladed scissors to shred any mail that has my name, address, etc. on it. Very effective but inexpensive way to shred this mail. Cuts through one or as many as three pieces at one time. I purchased a second pair of scissors to give as a gift.

Not only can these be used to cut up personal information that comes in the mail, but they can be used for crafts such as making quick fringe on paper, confetti (by cutting both ways on the paper)....I feel these were a great buy!!

Primary use of this product is to shred "important documents" without having a costly machine to do it. It only takes minutes of my spare time like watching TV, listening to music or just simply having a conversation while doing this. They cut well, not too many pieces at a time. It will give you a callas, so we wear a glove. The shredded paper is recycled!!!!

This is a great product. It won't cut through thick paper easily, but does a great job on small amounts of shredding. It is alot more mobile than a shredder. I use it on my mail as I open it. I really like it and use it alot.

These scissors are good if you have short paper or have already ripped the paper, because of the design you can only make one cut and then have to move on to a new area. Also, they do not cut through several sheets of paper. Still, cheaper than a shredder.

Convenient--I was tired of saving all those things that needed shredding--don't have room to keep my shredder sitting on top of wastebasket. When mail comes I can immediately get rid of whatever.
