These are exactly what I expected them to be; perfect for the single person to store leftovers in the fridge. Good stainless steel with well fitting lids to keep the smaller portions of food that may be left over for another meal. Ideal for me, a retired, single woman who just cooks for herself.

They are rather small. Not what I was expecting. Purchased as a gift but because of the size I kept them. They will be good for the little tid bits, small portions of left overs, and to sit around with little snacks. Read the measurements and make sure they meet your needs. They are nice looking and the lids are nice. I wouldn't purchase again. I needed something larger for all kinds of baking and storage.

Really liked these smallish stainless steel bowls. Great for mixing, preparing foods and storing food and leftovers. Placed over a small saucepan could be used as a double boiler for small amounts. Very handsome design and material, will last forever. As usual the plastic lids don't always fit well...an annoying but very minor probl. A very good buy.

Although the containers were useful with the lids they did not serve a purpose for me because they were to small. I have given them away for a wedding gift. This is not what I expected when I ordered it.

My fault for not reading the description carefully. These are not good-sized mixing or storage bowls. They're very small and not of much use to me. Not recommended unless you need a collection of teensy bowls with lids.

I purchased these bowls on 10/14/08. I must admit when I opened the box I was somewhat disappointed in the bowl sizes! The lids make the bowls useful for storing leftovers. This set will also be useful in preparation for recipes, dicing and chopping, etc.

Make sure you check the bowl sizes prior to ordering.

These are smaller and lighter than what I expected, but still very useable. Since I don't use microwaves anymore but I purchased a toaster oven and these bowls are exactly what I needed.

These bowls are perfect for everyday use and for storage. When not in use they take up almost no space at all stacking neatly one within the other. We put flour in one and whipped eggs in another to coat our chili's. It was money well spent.

I love my bowls have been looking for these a long time and very happy. On the other hand I order the 5 in 1 oven and it sat at the dock for 13 days with no notice to me. I had them keep and credit it back. Was suprirse I was never told why this happen by anyone. So I would say order the little stuff but I would not on big items.

I USE THESE BOWLS FOR LEFTOVERS - ONE BOWL IS ALWAYS A PERFECT SIZE. I KEEP TUNA SALAD IN THEM.

I only wish that they went somewhat larger instead of so small. It seems that every set you purchase tries to shove the less useful , smaller containers off on you, instead of eliminating the smallest container & replacing it with a larger one at the other end of the scale.

I was expecting a large mixing bowl with some smaller bowls with lids for storage. The bowls were very small and looked more like a cereal bowl than a mixing bowl.

Be sure to look at the size of these before you buy-I didn't. The picture does not really help with this. The steel is a bit thinner than I am used to. However, I still can use them. Lids fit nicely.

The best way is that the bowls do not take a lot of space because they fit into one another. Very neat. Easy to clean. Lids fit on the bowls nice and tight.

The media is telling us that plastics leach into our food, and in very hot weather I have noticed fumes from my plastic containers. So I have been looking out for some stainless steel containers. They would be better with steel lids, but these are nice because they nest and take up little storage space. Also easy to wash. When you put something hot in them, the steel expands and the lid doesn't fit, but that's a minor effect.

These are nice bowls to replace plastic storage containers. They don't stain or retain odors. The lids fit well with no struggles to make it stay on. I wish there were a couple larger sizes in the set.

Lids are a little tough to attach. This almost led me to give them a four star rating. A grandma would have a tough time with the lids. Once they are on they are REALLY air tight. They are heavyweight and really shiny. Both big positive points with food use. They all stack into the big container including lids for storage. Another big plus. For the price you are crazy not to get them.
