I was disappointed that the colors of the rug were not as royal & vibrant as they appeared in the catlog/computer, nor was it as big as I pictured. For what I paid , I would have been better off going to the local mall and getting one at a cheaper price, that looks better! I am wandering if all of the linen & rugs are like this, I am a little gun-shy about this!

I was very disappointed that my rug doesn't look like the one pictured. I ordered the smaller-size rug to use as a Christmas doormat, and turns out its design is only a simplified version of the photo in the catalogue. You have no way of knowing this 'til it's delivered. There are only 2 magnolias, instead of the 8 pictured. And they are in opposite corners, making the design almost exactly the same whichever way you rotate the rug. The rug advertised is much more elaborate and artistic and therefore much more interesting to look at. Also, the design border on one side is much narrower than on the other side, creating an aesthetic defect. I expected the design to be what was pictured, since there is no indication of the size of the pictured rug, implying that the photo represents both sizes offered. It would be much more helpful (and honest!) for a buying decision to include photos of both (all) sizes of a product if the designs change based on the size.

As for craftsmanship, the corners curl a little, haven't been able to get them completely flat yet. On quick testing, the rug doesn't seem to slip, but can't comment yet on the rest of its functionality since it won't be used 'til Christmastime. It looks to be of decent quality. Don't know if it will fall apart, become stained, etc.; but, since it will only be used for a short time each year hopefully it will last a while.

Would I buy the rug on its own merits, if I hadn't seen the picture of the larger one? I'm not sure. For the price it's probably a perfectly good rug. Just wish it had the same level of detail in the design as the advertised rug in the catalogue.
