I bought these for gifts for my sisters who enjoy entertaining and it seemed perfect for them. However, while the product seems to be of good quality (very heavyweight and very sharp - with a protective cap on the cutting edge)there is absolutely nothing on the box or in the box to suggest what the product is used for. I'm faced with copying pages from the catalog to describe it and why I thought it might be appropriate for them. I can imagine it now - it'll be the mystery Christmas gift that everyone goes "huh??" and they'll try to come up with insane ideas for what to do with it. Wouldn't have taken much to include an insert or reference/idea sheet.

AND IT WORKED WONDERFUL...THINK I WOULD USE

I love the end result when it works well. Sometimes, depending on the item to be carved, making the indentation can be somewhat difficult. But the end result is great and the votives in the fruits and veetables add a creative, festive look.
