Its not too powerful even with brand new batteries, the corded cutters are way more powerful. In the middle of cutting the turkey my husband asked for the other knife because it was annoying him.

It's VERY convenient to not have to get out a cord whenever I want to use it. The only improvement I would make is an option to keep it running without having to continually press the cutting button, as many other hand-held tools/appliances offer.
