I bought two of these milk containers, first because I wanted a "clean" container to hold milk, also one that I could "re-use" trying to be environmentally friendly (they are also made from re-cycled glass) and because they are so much easier for kids to hold, rather than those big, heavy gallon containers. They fit great in the fridge door, freeing up much needed space on my refrigerator shelves. I would HIGHLY recommend these. They wash up great in the dishwasher, nice and sparkling clean!

I bought these bottles because I remember what milk used to taste like! These is just something about pouring milk out of a glass bottle that can't be beat! When I buy a gallon of milk, the first thing I do is transfer it toi my glass milk bottles. It stays fresher longer, and just tastes great! I wanted to keep my milk fresh and use containers that are easy to use; however, every time i pour out milk, the milk drips. The design is faulty in that respect, otherwise the bottles are fine. Holds a quart, so you will need two for a half gallon.

This is the second one I've purchased. My daughter-in-law loved mine, so I bought her one. Keeps liquids cold and free of other refrigerator odors. Easy to clean and the glass does not retain the odors of its previous contents.

I am purchasing a second one today. I love this product. It definitely keeps the milk cold and fresh tasting. I feel good about using this product. It's like a blast from the past. When I watch sitcoms or movies, I love seeing folks getting their milk at their front doors in bottles. Although it only holds a quart, I think it would be heavier than I would prefer if the size was for 2 quarts or more.

I was very happy to see this product in the catalog. I was annoyed with the mess that plastic milk cartons were making on the glass shelves in my refrigerator. I initially ordered two bottles to try. Once I starting using them, I ordered two more to hold a full gallon of milk. Aside from my refrigerator being cleaner, the milk stays colder and tastes better. My only disappointment is that the bottles aren't larger.

Several things to love about this bottle, the way it looks, that it's made from recycled glass, the air tight seal and the fact that it keeps my milk ICE cold. Because of all its good points I can over look the fact that it doesn't hold a 1/2 gallon at one time.

I love my glass milk bottles. There are several uses for this bottle but my favorite is pouring my milk from the carton into the glass bottle. I love milk to be very cold and it lasts longer.
This takes me back to the milk man delivering milk to my front door early in the morning and tasting the freshness, taking it back to basics.

These are the best re-invention I have run across in a long time. The bottles are wonderful. I enjoy making flavor milks and keeping them in the frig. Sometimes that is all I have time for is a quick glass. And I drink more milk now because of the fact it is premade in my bottles and I can see which one I am grabbing out of the frig. The milk seems to last longer than if I leave it in the carton and it for sure tastes a lot better because the glass keeps it colder... or seems to anyway. I have 4 of these now and thinking about getting another pair so that I always have them handy while some are getting washed. Now that I have found such a great product I cant's imagine my day without them.
These bottles are also perfect for storing my fresh juices I make. Again, the juice stays colder and fresher longer.
Plastic may have been the new thing years ago but nothing will ever beat the qualities of glass.

This product first struck me as more novelty than practical...but after talking with my mother (who recalled riding on a milk truck with her uncle delivering old-fashioned milk bottles door-to-door)I decided to try one-put our whole organic milk in it (which I think already tastes good) and the flavor just got better!!! There's nothing like the ice-cold milk out of a glass bottle.

This product is easy to use, easy to clean, stopper forms an excellent seal, glass is thick enough and the green tint retards spoilage. I bought a second one in order to get ALL our milk out of the carton and into the bottles! Such a treat!

I bought these for both my mom who is 85 years old and my daughter. My mom has a hard time handling the large containers of milk, so she just transfers the milk to these containers. The capacity lets you use less space in the fridge because you don't have a gallon jug to deal with and you can put them in different places where you do have the room. I am going to buy more!!! You should try them.

I bought 2 milk bottles and can't say enough about them. They fit perfectly in my fridge and you have more than enough room for 1/2 gallon between the 2 bottles. Heavy duty glass and easy to open but has a tight seal. Very good!!!

I live in a seperate apt above my mother. For us each to buy a gallon of milk - it gets wasted. So we split up the gallon and use the glass milk container. It is much better than the plastic pitcher I was using and seems to keep milk fresher longer.

I love the old-fashioned charm and style of the glass bottle. As an avid milk drinker, just a regular carton or jug wouldn't do, and with the glass, you get the fashionable charm and presentation, but most importantly, you don't get the taste left behind from plastic or cartons.

I've never liked the plastic milk jugs. I don't like when you take the lid off and plastic around the rim falls into your cereal bowl. Or even the plastic residue the jugs leave on the fridge shelf. So I bought these to help eliminate that problem and I love them! Only bad thing is I didn't order them sooner! I'll never go back to keeping my milk in plastic!

I hate having a huge plastic gallon of milk in my fridge, which takes up a lot of room. I got this to pour the milk in, along with others that I've bought, so they don't take up as much room. I love it. The seal is nice and tight and the style reminds me of when the milkman used to drop off the milk at your door (although that was before my time!) :-)

I have a small refrigerator so a regular carton of milk takes up too much space. Therfore I use dry milk and this bottle is perfect for me. It fits in the door and stays quite cold, a problem I had with my plastic container. I especially like the the air tight stopper which keeps the milk fresh longer.

I had watched a program on Discovery about food and ways to make what we buy at the store taste better and last longer. The biggest suggestion given was to get the product out of paper or plastic containers and into air tight containers. When I saw the glass milk bottels not only did it answer where to get them for the milk but also brought back memories. Reduced fat milk actually taste like whole milk. Plus, the grandkids think they are cool.

These milk bottles are great, and they remind me of back in the day when the milkman man use to deliver milk in the glass bottle milk jugs. Glass milk bottles end the waxy taste. Plastic jugs and waxed paper carton can impart unpleasant taste. It would be nice if the bottles could hold more milk. I bought a gallon of milk and I could only filled two bottles. These bottles have a lovely design, easy to hold handle and help make pouring a little more easy. Also, come with air-tight seals. Great for juices too. A satisfied customer.

I was concerned after reading some of the other reviews about the size of these bottles but the concern was needless. For one or two people these bottles are great. I make Cowboy Sun Tea in one and have mixed chocolate milk in the other. I also have a juicer and the bottles keep the fresh juice wonderfully cold. I can hardly wait to purchase 2 more. The uses are endless.

These are beautiful bottles, exceptional quality, and I plan on getting one each month until I have a bunch..There was some misunderstanding as the picture shows what I thought was 2 bottles per order, someone in comments sections alluded to getting two for the [$] price, and I even called the company to make sure they were 2 bottles for the price shown and was assured that was the case, but it was not...for [$] you get 1 bottle...It may have worked out for the best though, as a single mom I would have never allowed myself the luxury of paying [$] for a bottle, but I got so much pleasure out of a simple little bottle I realize - anew - sometimes we moms just need to get extravagant with our own selves!! Thsi milk bottle is the best. It keeps your milk ice cold and the milk lasts longer in it than in the plastic cartons that come from the grocery store so I am saving money. The bottle is diswasher safe and the lid is easy to remove to pour your milk. This is the best product!

The biggest problem for me is that they don't hold even half a gallon of milk unless you buy two. I have all men in my home so nothing gets refilled unless I refill it. so if the milk sits for a while its hard to get clean.

I distill my own water and use these containers to hold the water, rather than using plastic containers which can change the taste of the water and are so unhealthy.
