I bought 2 sets of these to brighten up my beige deck. I did drill holes in the bottom like the other reviewers which helped with drainage but then the holes rusted right away. The other thing I'm disappointed about is that the color is already fading in the sun and I've only had them a month! I guess if you keep them in the shade they will be fine but mine are in direct sunlight. Overall I like these and think they are very pretty but think they should cost less since they will probably only last this summer before they look bad.

These are so cute online and in person. I put them on the fence just like in the picture online and it dressed up my new home. However, there are flaws. Many of the wingnuts to hold the arm to the planter were difficult to put on. There are no drainage holes so my husband had to drill some, but then that caused the holes to rust from water. After being outside in the weather, the colors faded drastically. I also noticed some other spots around the rims and handle that were not painted well and so got rusted. I was very happy with my purchase, and they are still not awfully disgusting, but I would hesitate to buy this again.

Beautiful design and it adds a great decorative touch, especially on my small balcony. It doesn't have holes so you have to punch holes to allow for drainage. Overall, fantastic product. Just got it so we'll see how it holds up to the weather.

I purchased plants that were already blooming and transferred those to my new hanging planters. I had to drill a hole in the bottoms of the pots first because they did not allow for draining. They are beautiful but I am of the opinion they may rust with time but do not know this for sure. I am still happy that I bought these beautiful planters!

These planters add a decorative touch to my front porch railing where it used to be bare.They're useful to hold my small potted plants and for my mature seedlings.The only problem I have with them is that they have no drainage holes but if you're handy and have the tools,you can drill some in.

Not being a green thumb or even a brown one for that matter, I bypassed this product several times. Until, I realized the pots could be used for other uses.

Currently, I have all sitting on my countertops adding a welcomed pop! of color. I have placed a complimentary napkin inside the lime green pot, then inside arranged the bamboo silverware (also ordered from here). The rest of the tins can be used to hold sugar packets, etc.

I would caution not using the pots for food service, however. But anything sealed should be okay. Be sure to wash with warm soap, then dry very well, before using.

i really liked these, but my plants started to die because the water was just filling up in the bottom and the plants started to rot and smell. I ended up having to hammer drainage holes..so if you buy these..make sure to first add drainage holes to them.

I ordered two sets of these and they truly are very cute! However, one set was sent without the complete hardware. I was disappointed about that.

Instead of transplanting a plant that you bought from the store into the bucket, you can put the whole pot with the plant that you bought inside the bucket, then you can add water to the bucket and it will water the plant from the bottom. Under these circumstances, you don't need drain holes or would want them. That's what I did and it works great!

After hammering a nailhole in each for drainage, I was able to use the pots for planting herbs. The colored pots look great hanging from my deck railing. One handle fell off due to a stripped srcew and I replaced it. I love the touch of color that the set adds.

the pails are pretty,sturdy and look great on my porch...but...i had to punch holes in the bottom of each pail as it had zero drainage, which i did with a hammer and a nail, it works well, but it chipped some paint in doing so..tracy

So far, so good. I did have to drill holes in the bottom of these for drainage. Too early to tell if they will hold up well to the weather but they really look beautiful on my railings. I just bought another set for a gift for a friend.

My husband saw these planter/buckets in the catalog and really liked them. I was so pleasantly surprised when they arrived. The colors are wonderful and they are bigger than I expected. I have the planters hanging on a white lattice fence and planted petunias in them. Since they did not have any drainage holes, my husband drilled one in each planter; I hope it won't rust around the drilled hole (without the painted finish). The only reason that I didn't give the planters five stars is because of the missing drainage hole. For the price, these planters are a good value. They are so colorful and pretty that they make me smile whenever I see them.

We live in the Caribbean so had a friend order these for me - were the best bargain I could find on the 'net. Gave them to a teacher at school to brighten her class - look so great, we've had several parents & teachers ask for them too! Even my friend ordered herself a set when she placed my second order. I have a fence in my front yard and these planters really dressed it up. I chose to mix the handle colors with other color pots instead of matching the colors up for a rainbow effect.

I used them along my deck railing and love how they look. The only negative I have found so far is that there is no hole for water to drain but I easily fixed this by drilling a small home in the bottom myself. I also used some of the planters without the hook which was easy to do.

The colors are bright and beautiful, but the assembly nearly killed me. All that is required is to screw one butterfly screw into the hook, and five of the six were incredibly difficult, the sixth doesnt catch and wont screw in at all. They all serve their purpose, though, they looks adorable on my deck. One wish, if only they had drainage. I always seem to be attracted to planters without drainage.

Look great on the deck rails, added color along with the plants I planted in them, reminded me of my Grandmother's flower pots from long ago.

Had to drill holes in bottom so that the water could flow once I planted plants in them. I expect they will rust with the soil and water but that is OK, look great this year, time will tell on the rust.

These pots are little small for any real use, but you can put one small plant in them. The handle of the bucket which is used to secure the pot to your porch railing is a semi-circle, most rails on porches are square or rectangle. I had to bend the handles to make them fit on the rails.

I placed mine on the on a trellis that boarders my Hot Tub. They look great. Even when the flowers aren't blooming these colors do. I believe they would look great in a childs room also, or even in the kitchen with fruit or vegetables in them. You can not go wrong with theses pails.
