The tread is used as a place to hold wet shoes once inside. The one thing it lacks are attachment points so the tread can be nailed into place; it does tend to slide.

The carpet piece its replacing didn't have this slide problem.
Then again, the carpet piece never got the 'wow' this on does; its a trade-off.

I bought this doormat for my front door because I liked the neutral colors and scrollwork design. Once I received it, I decided it would be better for my back door or garage entrance. From the picture on the website, I expected the mat's color to be black and brown. The one I received in the mail has these colors, but also a greenish hue. Not what I expected! I have only had it for a couple of weeks, so I'm unsure about it's durability. I guess I would recommend it as long as you don't mind the light green color.

I bought two of these mats when we moved into our new house two years ago, one for the front door and one for the side door, and I just love them! I've had them for two years, and my only complaint is that one of them has faded quite a bit, but not as much as the back door mat that I got from Kohls. I was just looking at them to consider replacing the faded one, but it is still doing the job!

I purchased the half round rug and the stair treads. Our steps are very slippery when it rains and we were looking for a long term solution. These carpets are way better than we had anticipated. These mats were perfect! I was looking for something simple, yet attractive that was going to provide slip-free tread to my front door steps. Several family and friends have slipped on my front steps due to rain and I needed something to deter that from happening again. These were exactly what I was looking for and more!!

We actually needed something rubberized for stair treads as we installed an inground pool last year with a huge, 2-tiered concrete patio surround. Well, suffice it to say there are a few stairs and water and glossy stain don't quite mix, so we needed something that would provide traction specifically on the stairs for wet feet.

I looked around and found the typical black rubber mats, but then this design popped up. I loved it. For starters, our patio is stamped and stained a rich terracotta, so I thought it would look good. But, when I received the mats, let me tell you - good is an understatement. It was stunning. It looked so rich. It doesn't even look like rubber! As far as purpose, well, I soaked my feet and kept trying to slip to no avail. Beautiful and doing their job.

Even though the tread mats were pretty long, I ordered more to accommodate more of the length of our stairs (I intend to abut them). I can't wait until they come in!!! Thank you so much for carrying these mats - and at such a reasonable price....

Now, specifically with respect to the door mat, since I needed to tie in the theme with the landing leading into the house, I purchased one door mat for in front of the entry side of a sliding glass patio door. My only gripe is that it doesn't come in any other sizes or a larger rectangle. It was too small - it looked dwarfed, so I had to order another mat for the other side, too. It doesn't look bad, but I wish there was just an oversized rectangle instead.

Bought them to help stop slipping off the steps. Found that they don't stay in place on wood steps and that moisture remains under the runners, which means wood rot potential increases. I think these would be great on concrete steps. They are okay in the winter if you take them in while it snows and put them out after you clear the steps. They look very nice, they lay flat, don't curl on the corners and seem to be color fade resistant. I am waiting for one of our ice storms to see if they help reduce the danger of slipping on the steps.

We bought this mat for the patio door of our new house. We bought it because of it's attractive design and when it was received, I opened the box and saw it in person and it looks even better than in the online catalog picture. It's not a light-weight mat, quite heavy, in fact, so not a chance of it blowing away in the high winds common to this area. Nor is it going to scoot or give way beneath any foot traffic.
