My husband loves chenille spreads (goes back to his childhood I think!) and has always had a white one. Pain in the neck with 3 dogs. This beautiful brown color gets him his chenille and doesn't show those dog prints quite as much. Great weight for our weather in Hawaii - just enough with a sheet.

This is a nice heavyweight chenille bedspread the way they used to be made. A soft, sturdy fabric that gets softer with use and washing. I have bought 4 of these and hope they'll come in a few more colors, I would buy more. There is no downside to this spread. Also all my cats love them, too!

I am so pleased with my new chenille bedspread. It is exactly what I have wanted for so long. I am so glad I ordered the king size for a queen bed because the bed id high and the queen would of been way to short all around. The color was perfect. I am so pleased and do not miss the bedskirt, comfortor and pillow shams. The change is nice and companies should start making more regular bedspreads, they are harde to find.

The only thing I am dissatisfied with is the size. I have a reular king size bed, not high off the ground, and it is way too short on the sides...by more than a foot! Length from head to foot is great, plenty of fabric to tuck over pillows. I ordered this because I wanted a bedSPREAD, and unfortunately didn't get that, because I still need a dust ruffle. I like everything else about it, but I ordered for size. Order up if ordering smaller than a king.

It's just what I was looking for. The weight is just right for cool weather but not too heavy for warm weather. I have a queen size bed but it's high so the king is usually just right. I hope it doesn't shrink when I wash it the first time. Then it might be a little short. We'll see. I ordered the Chocolate just to have someting different. It is a great color. Overall, it's been great so far.

I'd looked for a long time for a chenille bedspread for the winter. I was looking for a deep brown, warm weight spread. This one is a medium brown that, despite wanting dark brown, compliments my bedroom wonderfully and looks warm and inviting. It is not as heavy as I'd have liked but I think will work for the winter. On receipt, I washed the spread and it came out perfect.

If you have a king size bed, this spread is perfect. Its finally big enough to cover the entire bed and hang down low. I have bought many King sized covers that never are quite big enough to hang properly. Nice and soft, easy to clean and a great value. I bought the green and I love it!

Love the style and quality of the bedspread. However, be careful of the measures on this and all bedspreads. Just because it's a King, doesn't make it so. We thought 118x118 would be big enough and it wasn't because our King had deep pockets and raised 10" off the ground. This spread would look funny with a bedskirt.

Good spread, great color - just be aware of the measures prior to ordering.

I ordered king for my queen and it hangs to the floor on sides and end. Looks nice and is just the right weight. It does lint a little but that's to be expected with chenille.

I had read the reviews and knew when I purchased that it would be too short for my bed. I put it on the bed sideways to cover the mattress and box springs without a dust ruffle, which I hate to use. It's working well this way but one side now does not have fringe on it. I knew this before I bought because I measured it. Also, I did wash it and it was very "linty" in the dryer, but I got it dried with no problems and I do love the bedspread. I liked the color and I love the fact that I have only cotton above my body.

This bedspread looks fantastic and was thicker than I had anticipated. It's perfect for everday...cool enough for warm weather & add a blanket in cooler weather...It is soft & cozy. The only thing negative I could say is that it is shorter than I anticipated. I have thick mattresses and was hoping it would reach to the floor, but it does not.

It's machine washable--no more $$ or time at dry cleaners!!! So soft and homey to lounge on to read or watch TV. Because of cost and upkeep you can afford to not be picky as to what you do on it. I got the Burgandy and shows no stains or wear.

Moss color had too much blue undertone for me. The spread and shams weren't even a close match in color and should have been picked up when packaged together. Length is perfect, but width is too skimpy, and my king bed is not a tall one. Exactly what I wanted as far as weight and fabric, so I'm going to try to dye them.

After washing this bedspread, I had to change the dryer filter every ten minutes. It was spilling over each time. I was afraid there would be nothing left! It sheds still on the sheets, the floor, etc.

I was very excited to find this bedspread - it appeared to be exactly what I wanted. However, I returned the bedspread because it was simply too small for my bed. I haven't washed the product yet; so I hope it works well. I just added this for fall and picked the color tan/brown for something other than white. It's great for pet owners so their puppy feet down get caught in stitching. It should also be nice and comfy this winter. the only fault so far; is not the bedspreads but the manufacturer for not making one in Ca King or mine for not being able to find one in CA King.

Just got this spread and love the weight of it. We live in the north counrty and when its cold, its real cold! This is better quality than expected. I read the reviews and bought a king for my queen and its even a bit long but better than too short. My only gripe is that the burgandy is more mauve than a real burgandy but I can live with it.

I totally love my purple full size spread in my guest room. After washing it hangs about 4 inches above floor on the sides. It is barely noticeable and it looks great. I didn't want the fringe on the floor to trip me or get stuck on things. The length is perfect and provides the bottom corners with a pointed fold on the floor. I am thinking of getting another for the master bedroom. Don't know what the big deal is about fluff when drying it. The same thing happens with new towels. I am very happy with this purchase.

Very pretty - looks great on the bed and husband REALLY likes how soft, snuggly and comforting it feels. He dislikes the feel of regular comforters and wanted something more body-hugging. This gave him exactly what he was looking for. He agreed with other reviewers that it gives the old-time feel of being snuggled by a soft bedspread.

One would need additional blankets beneath this for very cold weather, but this is not extremely lightweight.

I love the fact that this is all-cotton. Many manufacturers are changing their textile products to part polyester and I really dislike that.

This is a great product!

Oh yeah, LOTS of lint in dryer (especially with first washing), but any really soft cotton item will do that.

Wonderful bed spread, Washed it when I got it, not only is that a good thing to do anyway.. but it had a strong smell. It shed a lot in the dryer but over all it held up well. No shrinking :)

The bedspread & shams have a heavy feel to them as well as a good 'tuft' - there are bald spots however & the material is full of some kind of egg (weavil eggs, I suspect) which do not wash out, but adhere themselves to the 'tuft'. These are probably more visible on the lighter color. Also, there are small patches of 'black' under some of the tuft. I hit these with a stain product, hand-washed the areas & the black came out. The Queen size is much too short on the sides for the new, higher beds. I re-ordered a king which fits perfectly. This is still a wonderful item for the money & look if you are not looking for perfection in the 'tuft'. The 'tuft' is thick enough that the 'bald' spots are not that apparent & after re-ordering there are the same 'bald' spotting in various places as well as the 'black' areas. I am still pleased enough to keep the product - which is very unusual for me as a 'perfectionist'. The 'imperfections' seem to be simply a part of the product.

Bought king size in chocolate color and looks okay with the bedding skirt. Its not big enough to reach the floor due to extra large/thick mattress. But it works. Lush and so nice to the touch. Can't wait to wash it to find out if it gets even fluffier! I am sure the cats won't stay off of it.

Love the bedspread. It's nice and thick, not like some of the paper thin chenille spreads I've seen. I suggest anyone purchasing this product for a full bed buy the queen size to make sure it will be long enough on both sides - a mistake I made but quickly corrected.

I washed the bedspread and shams before putting them on the bed. I needed to empty the dryer lint catcher every 10 minutes x 3. I expected this with cotten chenile.
It is hard to find 100% cotten bedspread that will stand up to everyday life which includes a cat. This will take more frequent washings than a fiber filled polyester backing I have found on most bed spreads.

We're enjoying the bedspread, however, the King isn't large enough for our King bed. It works, but if you really want a bedspread that you don't have to have a bedskirt with, then this one won't do the trick if you have a king bed.

I had wanted a chenille spread for years since I slept under my grandmothers spread when I was a child. I will never forget those long cool Indian summer nights under that soft spread. This one feels the same and took me back to those things I remember.

All of the reviews about how much LINT this thing produces when drying it should be heeded! Holy cow! I strongly feel that these bedspreads should be pre-washed, like a couple of times, before they sell them. The amount of lint is RIDICULOUS, seriously. Definitely check the lint trap every few mins while drying this bedspread - WE ARE NOT KIDDING! :-) I've only washed it once and there are still tons of fuzz balls all over my bedroom (I think I need to wash it again!). Also, I have a standard king-size bed, and the king-size bedspread is not wide enough to be used without a dust ruffle, while at the same time being VERY long. So the sizing is wacky. I love the color (I got the blue one). And I've wanted a chenille bedspread for a long time so overall I'm happy. I just wish they'd have the sense to pre-wash these things a couple times so the customer doesn't have to deal with serious quantities of fuzz and lint!

This is a nice Chenille bedspread. I bought the blue and now I would like to try one of the other colors as well. The price is reasonable so it would be easy to afford. I just received the spread about a week ago. I haven't washed it yet because the shams I ordered are on back order and I want to wash them together. I have put it on the bed to see just how good it looks. It is very soft and cuddly. I read some reviews that they had problems with it shedding before washing, but I haven't had that problem. Maybe they corrected it. I do want to wash it and the shams before putting them on the bed permanently. I will check my lint trap often during drying since so many posts have mentioned the amount of lint collected. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Purchased this item in burgundy for a guest bedroom. Reviewed the other reviews before making my final decision and glad I did. Bedspread is smaller than I originally thought, so I bought a size bigger. Pay attention to the dimensions. I also purchased the pillow covers, which are slightly a different shade. The guest room that I am using these in is a darker room, so it looks just fine. You also do need to check the dryer out every few minutes when drying because the lint trap fills up very quickly.

This is my summer bedspread. It IS a little heavier than I had anticipated and the stitched side is a bit scratchy. To be fair about this, I will say that I haven't had the opportunity to launder my spread yet and am hoping that it will become softer on the stitched side after a washing.
The price was really good..I had done some comparitive shopping and this was the best price. The size is excellent..not too short nor does it drape too long. Overall, I would rate is a very good buy.

The chenille bedspread was exactly what I was looking for. The king size fit my extra thick queen size mattress perfectly. The weight is perfect not too heavy, not too light. Great for year round use.

The lint that comes off this spread is ridiculous. In a few more washings, it will be thread bare. I have lint balls everywhere, sheets, blankets, pillow cases and even in my hair when I get up! I'm afraid my dryer will burn up with all the lint in the filter. I have to empty it every 5 minutes. Did I mention there was alot of lint?

I've looked high and low for a high-quality old-fashioned chenille bedspread, and now I've finally found it -- and at a great price. Like all chenille, it sheds lint in the dryer, but not nearly as much as most I've seen. I've had mine in sage green for a few weeks now, and I just ordered another in chocolate.

Great color and it even matched the picture on the web site and also in the magazine. Goes well with the animal print comforter I purchased to go with it. I am very pleased. Chenille has a tendancy to shrink after washing and I am sure this one will do the same thing but I am not worried since my comforter came with its own dust ruff.

I bought this bedspread because I have a king size bed and a regular quilted comforter is too big to wash in my washing machine. I had to go to a laundry mat with a industral machine. Having a cat and a dog that constantly jump on my bed and think my bed is the best place to be in the whole wide world I like to wash my bedding often. This lighter weight covering is perfect in a notmal machine, it holds up well and it looks great after each wash plus makes for a light cover when a blanket is too much. The first time I washed it, it shed a little but since then it does just great.

I bought this bedspread for my 92 year old mother who was disappointed in not being able to find a Old fashion classic, Bedspread. She does not like confronters because they do not cover the whole bed.We looked in high end stores without success. Old fashion classic to my mom would be made with chenille fabric. I ordered this bedspread and when I received and took it to her she was total excited.. She took off a new comforter that someone had recently bought for her and put this new Bedspread on. Her statement was this was total classic.

I have a gueen mattress that is thicker than average and sits higher than normal. I purchased a king size spread and it fits perfectly. The color is a beautiful shade of brown. I purchased the matching shams along with a sappire blue decorative pillow to match my curtains. I have not washed it yet but do not plan to dry it completely in the dryer due to the fact that others mentioned possible shrinkage.

Everything about the bedspread is fine except for the color. I ordered burgandy, expecting a dark rich color. When I opened it, it was a very faded burgandy as if it had been exposed to the sun for a while. Was not pleased with the color. Would order a different color next time.

I do have a comment. When you first wash this bedspread, your washer will have a lot of fuzz in it, also when you dry it in the dryer empty the lent trap more than twice in the cycle. you think you are not going to have a bedspread left. but its just the cut fabric coming off. And you still have a very nice bedspread.

Everything is now wonderful! The dyes were obvious but washed extremely well in cold water. However check your dryer filter every 3 minutes! I collected a pillow full!!! But that just makes it even softer and softer with every wash - I wanted to used it and it is on the bed now, but 80 degrees still - makes beautiful covering with the shams!! Can't pass the bed by without wallowing on it . . .

The weight of this spread is heavy enough to use in place of a light blanket during the summer, and the texture of the chenille is thick so it looks sumptuous. I did find it sheds a lot, even a bit after washing, drying, and tumbling again. I also gave it a good shake outdoors. Size is OK, just barely covers our very thick king size mattress down the sides, so must use a bedskirt to cover the foundation and on down to the floor. Has a "homey" look to it, and I feel the price makes it a good value for me.

If you have an extra deep queen set, then you'll definitely want to get the King size bedspread. It fits perfectly and is very elegant.

I use this bedspread full time on my own bed. It's a great weight with nice feel (after it's washed). I let my dogs on the bed and it's a great product but not so great that you're afraid to use it. At this price I'm going to buy a couple of other colors!

It looks really nice on the master bed. I did have to order a King size for my queen bed, though and it still doesn't completely cover the sides, but almost. It does cover the back. It does leave fuzz on your clothes if you lay on top of it. I haven't washed it, maybe it won't do that after I wash it.

I like this bedspread so much, I bought two of them for my twins bedroom. Problem is, I bought them a few months apart, so by the time I got the second one, the company had switched manufacturers, so the color was different. Now the bedspreads don't match!! After reading reviews before ordering, I decided to order a king size for our queen size bed. I have it on side ways, and it is the perfect fit. Goes to the floor without dragging at all. It is sooo soft, feels more like a plush stuffed animal, than a bed spread. My daughter falls asleep laying on top of it. She'd rather be in our room than her own, and she is 12 years old!!! Not normal for a 12 year old~ha! Have a feeling she will be getting her own bedspread so we have our room back~ :). This is sooo worth the money spent on it~am half tempted to order another to have put back so when our wears out, we already have one waiting!!!

Been looking for a spread for a man's bedroom. This bedroom can been seen from the living room, so I wanted something nice, but not breaking the bank. I was VERY leary about ordering the spread, but VERY suprised at the quality and it looks great. It does shed, but I put it on the "fluff" cycle in the dryer and it came out great.

This bedspread was purchased for a new full size bed. Because of the thickness of the mattress and boxspring I purchased the Queen size and the length is great but the sides could probably have taken a King size width.

The spread goes down to the top of the frame and we're OK with that. One side isn't seen, so we leave it a little shorter, the other side that shows we have the spread covering the frame.

It makes a nice covering, is very soft and warm.

This chenille is very generous size for our king bed. Very heavy and thick (loved this so blankets and sheets don't have to be perfect underneath. Also makes it very warm and cozy.)
Cons, I got the burgundy so it shows fuzzies (to be expected) And the shams are oversized ... so much so that my largest king pillows leave it saggy (think I'll insert some foam)
I am waiting for the sage for my guest bedroom ... this was a wonderful buy and a great product!

I gave this bedspread to my teenage son for Christmas. When he opened it I don't think he liked it. I washed it and he gave it a try. I was surprised and I think he was surprised on how much he liked it. It was a good weight and warm but breathable. It was one of his favorite gifts. I ended up buying another for myself.

I use it on my Cal-king bed. I like the feel of the material. It is heavier than I expected, but great! As others have stated, it did have an odor when I first opened it. However, very shortly dissipated. Regarding the size...one might consider the size of the mattress. My mattress measures 21 inches tall with a 9 inch box spring. Maybe I should have gotten a Eastern King size to cover to the whole bed. Maybe this info can be taken under consideration. Love Chenille bedspreads!

This is a beautiful spread. I bought it in burgundy and it's a lovely color and so warm and cozy without being thick and heavy. My bed is a queen, but I have very deep mattresses so I bought a king and it fits perfectly (thank you to the person who posted about the sizing). It does shed a bit, but not as much as others had noted. I think a good washing should help. Some posting mentioned a smell, but mine does not have one. I also bought the standard shams which are equally as beautiful. All in all a great buy for little money!

I use this bedspread over my feather duvet. It's so much easier than putting that darn duvet cover on and off for washing. However, when I DO wash it, I have to clean the lint filter in my dryer AT LEAST THREE TIMES. At the [$] price, I will be happy if this lasts two seasons. I was tired of buying comforters that never covered the sides of the bed. I remember the spreads that grandmother used to have and began my search. This spread covers my entire king size bed with enough to hang on the sides and to even make the bed with the pillows underneath. I called my mother and told her how much I liked it and she wanted one to so I ordered her one and she loved it too. I hope they never discontinue this spread because we just love it!!!!!

doesn't go all the way to the floor, but I have a bedskirt with it. Looks nice layered with a coverlet too, but wouldn't be real fabulous on it's own. warm and washable. A good product.

I have a Cal King bed but order the King size and it fits just fine. I had been using comforters on my bed and was tired of "fighting" over the covers with my husband. This spread goes to the floor on each side and at the bottom. No more "fighting"! I like the weight of this and find it to be just as warm as a comforter.

I washed it first because most chenille spreads really shed...this one did give off a lot of lint..but I haven't had one yet that doesn't. It is a very heavy spread and a great deal for the money.

I purchased this bedspread as a gift to someone for Christmas. But based on one in a different color that I purchased as a gift last year, the quality is excellent. Reminded me of chenille bedspreads I had when I was young.. soft, durable and warm.

I bought the queen size initially but i have a thick mattress so I ordered a different color in the king size...it is layered with the shams and looks very vintage and looks great with my furniture...and I have many pets so if it wears out I can replace it easily for that price without having a come-apart!!

great bedspread, the lenght is perfect, the width, well if it were about 6inches wider it would be the perfect bedspread. others have said that upon opening the bag, the bedspread had an odor, mine did not, I did however put it in the dryer with a softner sheet, mainly to get the excess lint out of it.

I didn't need the shams after I got the bedspread so I returned them but the bedspread is beautiful, warm, cozy and reminds me of when I was a child. My Mother always had chennile bed spreads. Good memories. Thank you!

I love the weight of this spread and the colors. I would rate it 5 stars but the shedding makes me a little nuts. Also it wasn't wide enough for my queen bed so had to order a king and that's too wide but I'm using it regardless because it still looks good on the bed.

The bedspread is thick, soft, and never wrinkles. It is very large and appears to be for an oversized King. Chocolate color is beautiful.
It far surpassed my expectations for the price!

I bought this for my bedroom. I was surprised that it was so heavy. The color was great. I haven't had to use my electric blanket since putting this on my bed. Love it! Will probably buy another for my spare bedroom.

I ordered this product and was very pleased when I received it, no one else had such beautiful colors (I got the burgandy). Nice and heavy (like having a comforter on the bed)and it actually fit the queen bed perfectly. But unfortunately it shed awful, I decided to wash it. Well the shedding was so bad it clogged my dryer and it still sheds. I do hope this will improve over time.

I got 2 of these bedspreads in the natural color for my sons' room. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, because their tastes change so often. I was pleased to find these 100% cotton bedspreads for such a reasonable price. I washed them before putting them on the beds and I was a little worried when I saw the amount of lint they produced in the dryer. I needn't have been - the bedspreads were very soft, plush and fluffy when I removed them. I am pairing them with dark denim and bright red accessories and they look really sharp. Words won't do justice to my new "chocolate" colored bedspread. The color is absolutely beautiful - not at all dark and dreary. The quality is even greater than i had hoped. The heavy weight of the spread keeps me cozy and warm. Decorating the room with a spread of one color makes everything easier. This is a terrific product - and would be at any price.

I had been looking for a bedspread that would hold up after weekly washings. This bedspread was far better than I expected. Because of the low price I expected the fabric to be thin, but I was wrong. The fabric was the same as an expensive bedspread from an over pirce department store.

I had been looking for a bedspread like this forever. Every time I would find one it would be out of stock. I finally found this one. The color is wonderful, the weight is great and it even covers my pillows with a lot left over. It is absolutely wonderful. Would buy it again in a heart beat. So far I haven't found anything I don't like about it.

When I first ordered the Bedspread I ordered the Queen size but read someones comment and they said that the King size would be better for a queensize bed...It is perfect. Thank you, who ever you are,for that comment. You were right on the money..The quality of the spread is top notch.As for the ordor someone commented on. I put the spread in the dryer with a fabric sheet and poof!!! odor gone....

I've been using Matelasse spreads but found the last one I bought (from here) really shrunk and didn't cover the sides of my king size bed very well, so I opted for a regular bedspread. It came pretty fast, but had an awful smell out of the package. I washed it and it covers the king bed well, almost too well. I have so much length in the spread and now the shams (& throw pillows) don't look as nice on the bed. I'll work with it though because it seems warm & cozy and I like that.

Better than expected. Great value compared to similiar bedspreads. I would most certainly recommend it to others. I bought a king size for my king size bed and it fits wonderfully. It also looks very nice with some decorative pillows.

Love the sage color and the way the entire bedding collection I purchased for my master bedroom.
The bedspread is warm and oversized giving a much elegant look to my room. The Shams and valance I picked to go with the bedspread are a perfect match. I plan to purchase another color for my second bedroom. A absolute great buy!

I bought this in the natural and was surprised how nice it was for the price I paid. It looks great as a traditional bedspread without any throw pillows or anything. I was looking for a quality-made simple style for my new Mission style furniture and Brylane was the only retailer that had something that fit the bill.

Very nice and heavy weight, but, somehow, it is not hot. The only con is how much it sheds. Even though, I highly recommend it.

After checking your reviews, I decided to order the queen size for my standard queen mattress. Well, I love the bedspread. It is durable and very well made. The only problem is that it doesn't fit my bed so I will have to return it and try the king size.

The bedspread arrived in good time, and the color, mocha was a good choice for my decor. I do think the sizing is larger than stated, but with washing it might shrink some.

In the picture the spread looked nice, but it was very inexpensive so I was a little skeptical. After receiving it I was very surprised. It is thick and plush and very soft! I washed it before putting it on the bed - no shrinking - Love it.
